In my opinion, humility is Dave's best trait. I continue to hear and read that he's a nice guy and that he's willing
to chat with fans and to not act like he's anything superior. I remember from watching VH1's Fan Club about a girl who met
him before a show and she was soooooo nervous and just stuttering. She was part of the Columbine shooting at her school and
one of her friends died in the incident. She rambled on to Dave about it and she almost wasnt making sense and she was crying
because now she had Dave standing right infront of her but then only memories of her friend so of course she had such mixed
emotions. Dave soon after went on to hug her and told her that once the cameras were off that just them two would have a chance
to talk with each other. If that wasn't enough he went on to add a song onto the setlist upon her request (lyrics
from that song were put on the casket or tombstone of the friend who passed). Dave asked for the girls phone number
and sure enough he called her the next morning saying how he felt a bit nervous because he knew that she was out there
listening and hoping that he I guess performed to what she would like for herself and her friend.
