Why We Love Dave Carthage Camp-out Home | His Humor | His "leg spasm" | His Passion | His Devotion | His Humility | He's Handsome Sitting at my house last year one night and not much was goin on at the time so I decided, better go spend the next 2 nights at the Carthage College parking lot. Hey it's for Dave so you do what you gotta do. And first come first serve for tix is so rare, I thought it best to take advantage of it. I was about 8th in line out of nearly a few hundred who ended up coming to stand in line. I think I heard around 600 people got tickets that day and there were still many more who were declined. You might be able to get an idea of how long the line was from this picture. From where this pic was taken is toward the beginning of the line and to as far as you can see past the goal post is where the line wrapped around. As you can tell we were all bundled up as I recall it was about -30 wind chill. I had on 4 pairs of pants/sweats, 3 pairs of socks, a t-shirt, 2 long sleeves, sweatshirt, and my coat and gloves and hat. Most of the time I slept in my car as I did not have a tent! But oh well I survived. Some people even had to be treated for frost bite....losers :)
